Train

Can I take my bike on the Train? Yes.

Light Rail

Can I take my bike on the Light Rail? Yes, pending space.

Can I ride on the Light Rail tracks in the city? Yes but not George St (See Road Rule 158 – bikes are allowed to use special lanes (bus, transit, tram and truck lane, but still cannot use a bus ONLY lane)). George Street has been designated as a tram only lane.

Ferries

Can I take my bike on the Ferries? Yes.

Buses

Can I take my bike on the Bus? No, but sometimes it is at the driver’s discretion, especially for rail replacement buses. You might also succeed with a folding bike.

At some point, NSW may acquire bike racks on buses, similar to the Transport Canberra program.
