Cycling Advisory Committees

What is a Cycling Advisory Committee?

The committee is an opportunity to discuss cycling specific council issues.

The Committee is advisory-only, with no delegation to make decisions on behalf of Council. Committee Minutes are reported to Council. Minutes may include recommendations to Council for consideration.

Committees are attended by council staff, councillors, local residents, community representatives and BIKEast.

Waverley

On 20 March 2018, Waverley Council resolved to establish a Cycling Advisory Committee to implement the cycling related actions of their transport plan, People, Movement and Places.

The committee meets four times a year, usually in the evening.

Public are welcome.

Randwick

The Cycleways and Bicycle Facilities Advisory Committee was set up to advise on bicycle infrastructure related matters. It was established from a Council Resolution on 10 October 2017.

The committee meets quarterly, and alternates between an early morning (7:30am) and evening (6:30pm) meeting.

There is currently no advisory committee for Woollahra.

Bayside

There is currently no advisory committee for Woollahra.

Sydney

The City of Sydney Cycling Advisory Committee meets quarterly in the morning (during business hours).

It is also attended by Transport for NSW and the Sydney Coordination Office.
